We just bought our Wii system as our family Christmas present. We have not had a game system before of our own so we have been learning the ins and outs. Our 5-year old son had to have this game. It is a great kid’s game. He has played often with my husband or myself and now he even plays by himself. We did cheat a little though…we were frustrated with a level so I googled it on the computer and ended up finding a complete walkthrough for the game for both Hero and Villain levels for story and free-play. I realize they intentionally make the instructions that come with the game vague to make it more challenging but when you are just starting out it makes it worse than challenging…it makes it throw it out the window frustrating! For instance, it would have been nice to know/understand you just can’t get everything in story mode, getting super hero level in story is easier than in free play mode and a must do, you need those villains in free play mode to get to all the canisters, etc. We also used a few cheats and again, that gave us a jump start. Now that we are getting it down, we are over 70% complete, we try not to use the walkthrough unless all three of us are just completely stumped! Our next game will be Indianna Jones and we are going to try not to cheat at all on that one! Ha Ha! But I’ll tell you what, the walkthrough may not be the purist way, but it is sure helping us to relax and have fun with it. I am amazed at how much our son has picked up now that he is not so frustrated, he works hard to work it out on his own, loves playing with his dad or I, if we are stumped, we put all our heads together and then as a last resort we can read the walkthrough and laugh at ourselves. But then we remember the next time…for example, when any body of water is sparkling – freeze it! If you are frustrated with this game…google for a walkthrough and download it. Save your sanity and have some fun! Great for parents who weren’t gamers in a previous life…it’s fun for us too!
