KidKraft Large Kitchen Review

We bought this kitchen for our 2 and 4 year old daughters Christmas of 2008. They love it, they play with it a lot. Fairly sturdy considering nothing these days is built to last.

Refrigerator handle and door both broke soemtime over the last couple of months. I was a little perturbed considering how much we spent on it.

I went to the kid kraft website and they replaced the door handle and the door, free of charge.

Even though, when it arrived, the package had obviously been opened and re-taped, all of the parts and fasteners (screws etc.) were there. The only thing missing were any instructions. However, it didn’t take long to figure out which part went where and which screw to use for that part. The table and chairs went together without a hitch with all parts fitting together well and being nicely finished. The table is just the right size for a two year old and should serve well for several years. The materials and construction are such that it may last to the next generation! I weigh well over 200 pounds and the chairs are sturdy enough to support me just fine as I play with my granddaughter.

Came in a flat box, assembly required, but the instructions were easy and within about 20 minutes (my son was trying to help so it took longer than it should have) it was together. It works everywhere with my son. Works in the bathroom to help brush teeth or sit on the toilet, works in the bedroom to get into bed or to help feed the fish at night. He pulls it into the kitchen to see what is on the counter and help me cook dinner. I’ve sat on it and I’m not this petite thing. My husband’s sat on it and he’s a good 215 pounds. The lid on the top step is perfect for placing thomas trains in, but it only shuts if you push it closed. Strudy step stool and light weight as well. Just be careful, with this your toddler will be able to reach new things he/she’s never reached before…
