Risk Halo Wars Risk I have played the original version of Risk for years now. My friends and I really enjoy it but the game always takes around 2 hours. Halo Wars Risk is a great variant on the classic. There are shorter ways to play with a more objective based style that gives you something else to go for instead of just global domination. Another great thing is you can play the old way too.
I am an avid Halo player (I own every game) and I can tell you I knew almost none of the colonies on the map, but it does not matter. If you know the original map you can see the Halo one is very similar. The bottom lone is it has new ways, pieces, bonuses,heroes, and objectives with a fresh new map to go along with classic risk fun. The rule book was also way easier to understand than I expected.
The only down side I see is its only up to 5 players. I own an original that allows 6, but I believe the regular version in stores now only allows 5 as well so there you go.
