I just got my hair cut short, and decided to give this straightener a try when on vacation in FL. I haven’t owned one in years because I disliked the flat-ironed look my old one produced, but this little Remington is a wonder. I have thick hair that curls nicely on a good day and waves uncontrollably on a bad day. Nonetheless, I was able to achieve straight hair with one pass on the lowest temperature setting. Best of all, my hair was straight but not flat, and it stayed straight all day despite the FL humidity.

My one complaint come from the placement of the power and temperature buttons- I agree with other reviews that it is too easy to accidentally turn off the straightener or to change the temperature because of the location of the buttons. Were it not for this design flaw, this straightener would definitely rate five stars!
