I bought this pillow when I was only 5 months pregnant and just beginning to get uncomfortable at night. It is nice because it gives you the support everywhere you need it, and you don’t need to use 4 or 5 separate pillows to achieve it. It can go in many different positions to conform to your own body-which ever feels best to you. I love it and hope that it will help me stay comfortable throughout my pregancy.

Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat - Harbortown Reviews
This is a great car seat. I purchased this one about 6 weeks ago when my son (child #3) outgrew his infant car seat at only 9 months old. I had previously purchased an earlier model of this car seat for my first child, and sadly our car was stolen with the car seat inside. I liked the first one I had, and I like this one even more. Here are the key points:

*It seems to be extremely comfortable for the child. It’s big and cushy. My son likes it. My daughter did, too.

*It really seems to offer a lot of protection with its big seat that kind of curves around the child. On the down side, if you plan on moving the seat around a lot (as another reviewer mentioned), it is quite heavy. But the truth is, it’s not designed to be portable–most convertible car seats are not. And if you have a small car, you might have trouble making it fit (I don’t know this for sure because with three preschool children, I have a minivan).

*It is easy to install. I have installed a fair share of car seats, and this one is one of the better ones.

*It is very easy to adjust the straps. You can adjust the height of the shoulder straps from the front. How wonderful is that–it is such a hassle to rethread straps like you need to in many car seats that sometimes you can be tempted to leave them on a setting your child has outgrown for a while. You can also adjust the tension of the straps from the front very easily. You can actually make sure they are tight enough every time regardless of whether your little guy is wearing a sweatshirt and coat or a t-shirt. And if he likes to squirm while you put him in, you can loosen the straps, fasten him up and then tighten it to a safe tension. No problem at all.

*It is not too expensive. I paid $117 for mine, which is no small amount of money, but it is not as expensive as a Britax. I’m sure the Britax is fine, but I think a lot of people buy them because they are trendy or because they think they have to spend a lot to make sure their kids are safe. The evenflo is a great car seat. And it is much better than some of the cheap brands like the Cosco I have to use when visiting my parents (no padding, difficult to adjust straps, difficult to fasten clips, yuck).

My wife and I have been long-time fans of our Graco infant seat, so much so that we would have been willing to purchase a second one in order to ensure that either my wife or I would always be ready to get up and go with our son when necessary. However, Graco saved us from having to do that by offering this base alone as an accessory.

Some other reviews have claimed that having an additional base isn’t really necessary because LATCH allows you to easily move the base from car-to-car. This sounds reasonable on paper, but breaks down in real life:

* What if one of your cars is older than 2001 and doesn’t have LATCH? Ask anyone who’s correctly installed a car seat or base via the seatbelt and they’ll confirm that it is a physically difficult endeavor. Faced with a choice between regularly undergoing this exertion or else investing in an additional base and then leaving it in place, I’d bet 99% would go for the base (the other 1% apparently enjoy a vigorous workout at the most inopportune times).

* Will you always have the time to switch? When you’re commuting or traveling with an infant, time is an even more crucial resource than usual. Plus, any number of other factors (What if you’re alone with the baby? What if the weather is severe?) could make the prospect of a guaranteed quick departure well worth the $40 spent on a spare base.

* What about unforseen schedule changes? When our son began going to day care, he had to be brought home early on several occasions because of ailments. Having a base in each car meant that either of us could go get him. So if one of was too tied up at the office, we wouldn’t have to stress over begging out of work early during a busy time.

More than a simple convenience, having a base in each of your family’s vehicles is an insurance policy against being painted into a corner when getting around town with your little one. Any working parent will especially appreciate not having to stress over “do I have the car with the car seat?” at any given time. We’ve gotten our money’s worth out of this accessory time and time again.

I love this product so much that I bought another one for my mom’s house. I use it to heat up my 4oz medela and healthflow bottles and tried the Avents bottles. Yes the milk does get hot if you leave it til the warmer shuts off. But I usually check the bottle 1/2 way through the time (est. 3-4min), shake the bottle and the milk is PERFECT!!!!! Therefore it takes a total of 3-4 minutes for you to have a warm bottle, much quicker than putting it in boiling water. 2 other good things about this warmer are: 1)it has the auto shut-off capability unlike other warmers, where you have to unplug the unit and 2)it is small and doesn’t take up too much space on your countertop.

Rainforest Bouncer by Fisher-Price Reviews
This seat is for our 3 month old daughter who weighs 15 pounds. First, I’ll point out the pros of this bouncer seat. The music is wonderful. The waterfall is captivating. The colors are mesmerizing. She can sit in the seat for 25 minutes easily. The seat takes 4 D-size batteries. Unlike other bouncer seats we have used, there is only one compartment for 4 D-sized batteries. Unlike its predecessor (the Ocean Wonder Aquarium), the Rainforest bouncer keeps our child AWAKE. If we wanted our child to sleep, we’d put her in bed, not the bouncer. So Fisher Price definitely got it right this time! A++!

The cons is that the seat was used twice before it started to make this loud clicking noise from the bar. Being an engineer, I took it apart and noticed that the gears are designed to click (or skip a gear) if a child were to grab the frog or the monkey while it is moving. This prevents the gears from being stripped or the motor overheating. However, the tension on this “gear skipping” behavior is too sensitive such that after 3 hours of use, the clicking occurs from just the friction of the frogs moving up and down on the bar.

I called customer support about the clicking and they promptly sent a replacement bar. After 2 weeks of using the new bar, it started clicking. Argh! The good thing is that the new bar does it randomly. We’re willing to live with the flaw and the annoying clicking from time to time for the Pros listed above.

The other con is questionable. There is much debate about the height of the toys on the bar. Being an “infant” bouncer, it is designed such that the child can grab the toys and even pull the rings off the monkey. Our daughter loves it! We do have the Fisher Price “Kick and Play” which is designed for slightly older children in that it provides more clearance between the child and the toys … hence “Kick and Play.”

The bouncer comes with a one-year warranty. So for a year, I can get replacement bars as the clicking becomes annoying. After replacing enough of them, will their engineers will fix the problem? I hope so.

The clicking has returned with the replacement bar and won’t go away. I called Fisher Price for a replacement bar. While they really wanted to send a voucher for $48, I pressed to have another toy bar sent as a replacement. At that point, customer service informed me that there is a backlog of replacements on this bar till 30 April 2007. Customer service continues to be very friendly and easy to deal with. We’re willing to wait for the new bar …

My 2 year old son and I love this potty seat! It is EASY to clean, fits securely on all toilets, even elongated, and my son can put it on and take it off by himself. We use it in conjunction with the Baby Bjorn step stool, which I also love. We have had other potties and this is the best, except for the Baby Bjorn Little Potty. The potty trainer plastic is hard but contoured to fit a small or large person - my 15 month old daughter fits on it, and so do I!! Hard plastic is more sanitary because it won’t crack and gather germs like the padded kind. The urine splash guard does the trick with little boys until they learn to aim, but is not cumbersome for females, either. It actually helps provide some stability to the child. It is very nice not having to empty and clean a separate potty for him. The design is clean and nice, which is important to us because my kids’ bathroom is also the guest bathroom, decorated to look like a spa in cool blues and white. The white seat doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb or look overly cutesy or childish in a nice bathroom. We take the trainer seat on vacation with us and visiting relatives. A word of caution - be sure to use with a sturdy stepstool, because for most kids, getting off and on the adult toilet without assistance is hard without a stool and can be dangerous. However, if your child is scared of sitting up so high, go with the Little Potty. My daughter is scared of the adult toilet and likes the Little Potty, but my son wants to be “BIG” like us and use the adult one. If you end up needing a floor potty, go with either a one piece design or a design in which the ‘collection bowl’ can’t be removed by the child while sitting on the potty. We had a ‘royal’ potty -TRASH! My son was scared of the red light that sensed urination or bowel movement, and freaked out when it made noise. The splash guard was bothersome to him, causing him to hurt himself more than once, and he frequently pulled it off in midstream, making a mess. He also pulled the collection bowl out from the front in midstream, and ended up peeing directly on the floor. Love the Baby Bjorn toilet trainer, stepstool combination!

Coby 1.5-Inch Digital Photo Key Chain (Red) Reviews

I just received this LCD Photo Chain from Electronic Express and I was able to install the software and quickly update a handful of pictures in less then 15 minutes. The Picture Viewer program was fairly easy to use. Just pick a bunch of pictures on your drives, add them to your collection and then upload the collection to the key chain. Adding more pictures to collection later on was no problem. There is a counter on the program that will only allow you to store 62 pictures max.
As far as picture quality goes for the tiny LCD screen, I have to say that I am fairly impressed. It was relatively bright and colors were vibrant! The 128×128 pixel resolution was sufficient for viewing and it didn’t seem that grainy as compared to other LCD keychains. The best comparison of the picture quality would be to a cell phone screen with 1 megapixel images.
The make of the LCD viewer is sufficient for me but I am not sure how well it would survive key scratches and ocassional drops to the ground since the plastic feels little cheap. The buttons to power on, slideshow mode and forward & backward were intuitive.
All in all, this makes a great gift for someone who loves gadgets and is somewhat tech savvy if they are going to upload images themselves. You definitely need a connection to a computer in order to charge its internal battery. I’ve enjoyed showing this to the guys at the office and its a sure winner as a stocking stuffer for Christmas.
