I have two homes: one is in the city and the other is a little bit closer to nature. The latter has a nice cage with enough room for my ferret to walk around a bit in, sip some water, nibble on some food and then hop onto your hammock for a nap — anything until it’s time to get taken out for an hour romp. This one is my main home. I only stay in the city for two, three days tops so I used a smaller cage with just enough room for her to do the basic essentials. I felt bad but the stays were never for that long. In the last three months, however, I found myself having to stay in my city home so I figured it was time to get a new cage.

I bought this cage for my large, Syrian hamster. He did figure out fairly quickly how to climb over the edge. However, the pen is large enough that I was able to put in a stationary wheel and a few other toys. Those keepy him entertained enough that he’s stopped trying to escape anymore. Also, keeping the pen in a circle helps to, as if there’s a corner, it’s easier for him to shimmy up.

Received today, it is much bigger than I thought it would be. Very cute (wish they had sent a pink one instead of blue). I can hardly wait to for my hamsters to use it! It may not be exactly like the exercise balls, but you have to admit it is very unique and worth showing off! I also like the fact that it has 3 settings, one for stationary so the wheel goes around but the car doesn’t move, one for the car to move around the floor, and lastly to use on a track (if I ever get one).

This track is great for anyonw with one lazy and one hyperactive hamster. That lazy hamster will be pushed to exercise by the other hamster pushing her around! Its great to see my hamster which always sleeps doing something for once!
