My 9-month old Corgi, Lucy, has had her squirrel for two weeks. One ear was finally chewed off last night. She’s working on the other one right now, and its not looking too good. She just loves her squirrel. She will follow me around the house with it in her mouth, so she will have it to chew on when I stop to do something. Then she will try to convince me to toss it, so she can chase it, capture it, and shake it in triumph, all the while working the squeeker like crazy! She has yet to remove the squeeker, quite a feat, since with all of her earlier plush squeeker toys, that was the first to be attacked!

I have a pitbull/retriever mix and she loves to play fetch except she tears up a tennis ball every time I play with her. This toy is an excellent replacement, it lasts and she accepts it as ‘another ball’. The only downside is that it looks painful to catch in the air since it’s so heavy so just aim far and low. Its bounce is unpredictable which adds to the fun factor. My dogs don’t play with this for hours on end though even with treats inside, maybe 10 minutes at most. She also figured it out in 2 days and can get hard treats out very quick just by biting it really hard and crushing all the treats. Also, my great dane seems to prefer this size (L) instead of XL or XXL.
