KidCo Center Gateway Child Safety Gate 5.5″ Extension – White I initially had one of those old wooden gates that you have to step over and it was very cumbersome, especially since I am pregnant and have a 4 year old. I bought this gate even though it seemed pricey because of its reviews. I am so pleased that I did. It was very easy to install even with the extensions we had to by and it is super easy to use even my daughter can work it. Very pleased.

Adjustable Locking Strap-White I bought one of these from a seller on Ebay to keep my 2 year old out of my bathroom drawer. I was quite suprised at how well it works, for a “stick on” lock. After a month or so I came here to buy more. I got one for the shoe cabinet and one for the DVD cabinet so the baby couldn’t get into them anymore. I got so tired of finding shoes and DVDs all over the house. These solved those problems! I’m so happy not to have to pick these things up anymore, and they’re so easy to open (but not for him!)!

The picture leads you to believe that you get a gate that covers the area shown. However, it only comes with ‘three’ gates and you will have to buy extensions if you want it to cover a big area like the one shown in the picture. Check your measurements before buying. I had to buy 3 more extensions, but they are worth it. I just wish I would have checked the measurements. Since you can only buy this product online (won’t find it in the target stores), I had to wait for the extensions to arrive to keep my kid enclosed in his play area.

This gate extension can be added safely to the kidco gates g20 and g60. We have a very wide stairway and not only does it safely block the stairs, but it is so sturdy that even after our four year old swung on it, it shows no signs of wear or damage. We feel safe when all of our kids bang or shake the gate and it does not budge. I fully reccomend it. It is also great for areas were you have uneven walls or posts. It adjusts easily for different attachment terrain.

We bought this gate plus two extensions for a 60″ wide opening from our dining room to entryway and couldn’t be happier. The gate is very sturdy and looks great. I was worried that I (the klutz that I am) may trip over the floor bar, but have had no issues so far. We also like that the door can swing either way. I am planning to purchase this same gate for another doorway in our house.

This gate is one of the best I have seen. I searched through as many as I could find online. It is made from heavy gauge metal with a plastic locking mechanism. (There are also a few other small plastic pieces.) It is very sturdy and simple to use. It uses pressure points for installation on the wall so there are no holes or marks made on the wall. The adjustable screws for installing are very thick and not easily bent which is important when you have them fully extended. I use it to keep my large Labrador Retriever in his area. I also have 4 children, 4 years through 9 years old, and they are able to navigate through the gate easily. Although, we don’t engage the lock usually. Works great and I have had it for a month now. Worth the extra $$$ when looking for a product that lasts.

When you get these they will come with sticky backed tape and screws. I only used the tape when I installed them 6 months ago. My children are now one and have never opened a locked cabinet. These have worked great for me up to this point but I feel I may have to screw them in soon now that my children are older.
