Altec Lansing VS4121 Powered Audio System (Black) I shopped for 6 months before buying speakers for my iMac. I looked at two other brands and styles before purchasing this set. I wanted to make sure I purchased a quality set with good sound, size and that the price was just right. These traits were important to me because I use my desktop all the time and I like to listen to a variety of music while I work. Occasionally, I play action movies on the desktop and the sound is superior. The sound output is remarkable. There’s no static when I turn the volume up loud, the bass is great and the effortlessness of making the sound adjustments is by far nice. If you’re looking for great quality and sound these are the speakers for you.
