Easy Care First Aid Kit, 1 kit Most first aid kits are over-priced; they are simply meager collections of cheap items in a nondescript pouch that one could put together at half the price. This one is different. The bandaging, ointments, and tools (scissors, tweezers, etc) are good quality items. But what I found best of all is that the inside pockets are labeled for easy identification when you’re already stressed out. I added a single pack of bleed-stopper that fit nicely inside to make it better for motorcycle use. Highly recommended for backpacking (it’s lightweight) or vehicle.

Adventure Medical Kits Outfitter This is an extensive and comprehensive kit with only one flaw – the nylon carry bag and the detachable field-trauma kit bag are not weather-resistant or waterproof. Some of the items in the kit are individually sealed in plastic, but most are only protected by that standard wax-paper film like Band-Aids come in and will be ruined if they come into contact with water.

I’ve had one of these kits since 1992, and I highly recommend it. From the Dental Module to the CPR Module to the SAM splint, this kit has many of the items you’ll need in an emergency, and is worth every penny you’ll spend on it.
If you work or play hard in the outdoors (I used to do surveying in the back-of-beyond, as well as a lifelong camper/backpacker/bikepacker), this kit is all you could hope for, with a few suggested additions. Get the EpiPen or other epinephrine injector the included book recommends, and I’d highly recommend getting a second SAM splint, the SAM instructional DVD/Video, and a pack of SAM finger splints.

2 things I wish this kit came with: Neosporin (or similar), and Needle Grips. But, both can be bought seperately and probably fit in the bag well enough.
